    Im not a camera wiz myself but i really would consider getting this camera if it had a night shoot on it. Or the setting that allowes you to leave the cameras sitting somewhere the whole night and you could see the footage in the morning. I have had some mysterious displaced objects in one of my rooms and i am interested in seeing what exactly it is. So if this camera had night vision and could run all night i would definately get it.

    No, it stays up until you switch it off again, but you can switch the flash off when in the raised position, but you can’t stop it from sticking up when switched on! :)

    Yes, you can push the flash down with your finger when its up. I actually like this function since I can decide if I want flash or not by simply pressing the flash down, its faster than ging through the menu. I was playing around with one at Costco and was impresed. The only think I could not find was the color swap function. Going back tomorrow to play with it a little more. Its only 319.

    this canon has got MONO mic, while the Panasonic tz 7 has STEREO mics. The only serious disadvantage if youre into filming with decent sound, ie when filming a concert or buskers or yourself playing or talking etc…

    If this is anything like the SX100, then it must be a good camera. Gonna save up for this one since my cousin dropped the one I had. It looks much sleeker and less bulky than its predecessor. Trust me, I had the SX100 which was great, the SX200 could only be better.

    No, you cannot put the flash down on this camera, it’s annoying, it is up all the time when the camera is on. You cannot use OPTICAL ZOOM when shooting video, only the 4X digital zoom. Yes, I have got one of these cameras. Good for stills!!

    Ok I have a question…I’m in a photography class and maybe I heard my teacher wrong but I think he said for a camera with a wide angle lens you could change the settings to a telephoto setting? True? Because the wide angle lens is great except for portraits which I want to take as well. I mean can you change the lens settings to make it telephoto somehow or at least not wide angle??     I just bought this camera and it’s my 3rd Canon Powershot. It’s a beast and I mean that in the best way possible. The pictures are sooo clear and vivid. So much better than my old 1100 IS and SD630.
