   this camera uses rechargeable AA batteries.

   just buy the NiMH type of batteries.

   energizer makes them and they are nice and cheap. ten bucks. they are awesome.

    Without an optical viewfinder, you really can’t use this for the kid’s ballet or theatrical shows because your only option is to shoot with the screen on and your bright screen light will bother folks. Also, when you go to change memory cards, your batteries fall out. This design was a fail.

    i bay this camara yesterday is so pretty butttttttt thes pic are so badddd have very noise,Treat in all the manners, at all hours and with different types of environments and the photos they are horrible it has too much noises, do not laugh but a canon compares the photos with another camera a canon a520 4megapixer and they are better than the nikon I am very disappointed and am thinking to return it
