    This has got to be one of the worst cameras I ever used. don’t be fooled by the ads. This camera can’t meter bright outdoor scens right. highlites are always blow out washed out to bright call what you may. I always have to shoot -1/3 to -2/3 to get anything thats any good.
    before you say I against Canon cameras I’ve been a canon user for over 40 years( slr dslrs.

    i have this camera and the battery works fine. lasts a long awhile and it has never ran out of battery when fully charged (atleast on me)

    EF and EF-S lenses should work on all of Canon’s APS-C sized (cropped) bodies. However, EF-S lenses will not work on full frame bodies including film (such as 5D, 5DMKII and 1Ds) or APS-H camera bodies such as the 1D.

    To answer your question EOS-1 lenses should work with the 450D.
