“Excellent Buy!”

I have to be honest, after reading all the reviews I was a bit concerned that the product might not be of high quality when it came to taking pictures, but boy are they wrong!

My 3 year old god-daughter absolutely loves her new camera and the images are fine! Sure, a little fuzzy (and i mean a little), but still very manageable… its not a problem to make out what she was taking a picture of. Her biggest problem is steadying her hand to capture the image straight (lol) but besides that it is a wonderful toy. The flash works Its very strong and durable Waterproof And the fun noises makes it even more interesting

“VTech Preschool Learning Kidizoom Junior”

I bought this camera for my 6 year old son for Christmas. He loved it! Actually, WE love it! I have 4 other children, and they were all jealous. What we like about it is that you can make “cute” photos right in the screen area as you take the picture. We made snowmen of all of our kids, and my son’s pictures of Christmas morning were even better than mine! There are a few games that he has enjoyed playing as well. AND it holds 400 pics!!! He can take pictures of the floor and it doesn’t matter!!

What I don’t like about it is that the batteries didn’t last very long, and some of his pics were a little blurry. He was trying really hard to keep still. Overall, most of his pics were good though.

“Worth every penny!”
We purchased this for my sons 3rd birthday. He was always wanting to use our camera and thought this would satisfy his curiousity. It worked! This camera has been in use since April of 2010 and we have yet to need a battery change. It goes to the park, the zoo and pretty much everywhere my son goes. It has been dropped and explored by our 1 year old and still works great. Easy to figure out and my kids love the shutter noise it makes.

“This camera is FANTASTIC!!!”
I have to admit that I was not very familiar with the Vtech brand prior to this purchase and was a little skeptical. Everyone I had asked advice from in regards to a digital camera for my 4 year old told us to get the Fisher Price camera. Well…we followed their advice and were VERY disappointed with the Fisher Price camera. For lack of a better word, it was TERRIBLE to say the least. Picture was impossible to make out and it was just boring.I returned it the day after the party and picked up the Vtech version. THIS CAMERA ROCKS!!!! The picture is clear, there’s a flash, you use as a video camera, you can even add some stamps to the photos like a pirate hat and eye patch. Our daughter is having a blast with this camera. Oh yeah…there’s even 3 games in it!
This was a great purchase!!

It’s easy for her to use the larger, softer buttons and the sounds the camera makes in response to a button being pushed are fun. Perfect for a toddler. I would definately recommend.

“Best available choice”
I originally bought the Fisher Price kid tough camera because it was a little cheaper and I was buying it for a 4 year old. Big mistake! She opened it on Christmas day and it broke within 15 minutes. I returned it and then bought the Vtech camera, it works beautifuly and has fun features like funny faces you can put on the photos as well as some simple games she can play. The picture quality is not the greatest but she’s 4 and could care less. I am very pleased. Do not buy the fisher price model!

“Great Kids Camera”
We got this camera for our 4yr old and she absolutely loves it. It took her about an hour to get used to what to do with it, but once she did, she is taking pictures of everything.

A great feature is that you can add characters to the pictures. It’s easy to turn on and off.

The flash is always on, so pictures really close up will most likely be very bright. No matter though, just pull back some and the pictures are great. The camera will turn off after 1 minute of non-use, but turns back on easily with the touch of any button.

Downloading the pictures is very easy. You can use the software that comes with the camera, or just plug it in to the USB port on the computer to transfer pictures. The quality is just fine for a 4 year old…in fact it was a little better even than we thought it would be.

The LCD screen to view the pictures is just right for a 4yr old, however, it could probably crack or scratch easily if dropped. Also, there is only about a 2 second viewing window before you have to click in to the memory to view the pictures.

Lastly, it’s easy to delete pictures and this camera has a huge memory with even more possibility of adding an sd card(which we didn’t really need at this point).

“Great for 7 year olds”

I bought this camera for my 4-year-old and she absolutely loves it! She is not ready for an “adult” camera (and I can’t believe any child under the age of 8 would be). It’s important not to lose sight of the fact that this is toy camera meant for preschoolers and not an advanced digital camera meant for professionals. It a play camera for little kids. If you can keep that in mind, then I think you and your preschooler would be thilled with this toy. It takes reasonably good pictures and will teach your child to keep a steady hand. The games and editing features are really fun and easy for a preschooler to learn. We also love that we can plug this camera in to our TV and view a slideshow of our daughter’s latest shots. She’s had a ball with it. It seems to be pretty durable as it’s been dropped several time… once halfway down the stairs. Overall, I think it a great product if you are looking for a camera for a preschooler.

“Great for kids”
This camera is great. I bought it for my little nephew. I live in Germany and he is in NC and he wanted to send me pictures. He is 3 years old and this is perfect for him.

“Two boys love this camera”
I have two boys ages 2.5 and 4 who both use this camera constantly. They love taking their own pictures and so far this camera has survived everything they can throw at it over the past 3 months including the occassional throw across the room.

A few things… the button was a little hard for my 2.5 yo to push at first. He had to learn how to do it, and its still a bit of a challenge for him. Its no challenge at all for the 4yo.

The delete button is right there, and we rarely get to download the photos because my kids are too busy deleting them! This doesn’t seem to bother them. They just love taking the pictures, they don’t want them forever memorialized on the computer I suppose.

The picture quality is very low. I won’t lie to you. But the kids don’t really seem to care about that either.

Overall its been a great toy and every time we have other children at our house there seems to be a run for it. I haven’t seen a preschooler yet who doesn’t love it.

“The best kids cmera~buying our 3rd one!”

we have 4 children and have had many “kids” cameras and have thrown many out that did not stand up to the abuse. This camera is the best!!! AND its for all ages. We first got a blue one for our 7 year old who LOVES it! Takes great pics and video and you can watch it all on your TV. Then we got the pink one for our 5 year old because she always wanted his. This Christmas we are now buying a new one for the 2 1/2 yr old who takes their cameras ALL the time and actually takes good pics with this camera. It is so easy and very durable and cute. Definetly a tried lasting kid camera!

“My son feels so grown-up.”
This is a great, durable camera. My kindergartener loves being able to take his own pictures and see them right away. It is a little tricky for him to take pictures in focus because the photographer needs to remain still for the longer-than-a-5-year-old-can-remain-perfectly-still shutter speed. However, since it is digital, no harm is done; simply delete fuzzy pictures and try again.

“Great camera for a heavy user,”
This camera was an instant hit with my seven year old with Down syndrome. He was obsessed for the first two days, then just totally attached to taking really random shots and laughing.
